20th Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival

#JazzBeThere: Ανανεώνουμε το ραντεβού μας για του χρόνου!

Μέσα στην εντελώς πρωτόγνωρη συνθήκη που βιώνουμε όλες και όλοι τελευταία, όχι μόνο στη χώρα μας αλλά και στην Ευρώπη και σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο, και μη γνωρίζοντας ακόμα – όπως κανείς άλλωστε – πώς θα εξελιχθούν τα πράγματα στο επόμενο διάστημα, η διοίκηση της Τεχνόπολης Δήμου Αθηναίων και η ομάδα του Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival, με αίσθημα ευθύνης για την ασφάλεια όλων, των επισκεπτών από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό, των συνεργατών, των καλλιτεχνών και των εργαζομένων, αποφάσισαν το φεστιβάλ να μην πραγματοποιηθεί φέτος.

Με μεγάλη μας λύπη, σας ανακοινώνουμε ότι το καθιερωμένο ετήσιο ραντεβού μας στο τέλος της άνοιξης, με το οποίο ξεκινά το συναυλιακό καλοκαίρι για ολόκληρη την πόλη, το αγαπημένο μουσικό φεστιβάλ των Αθηναίων όλων των ηλικιών – φίλων της τζαζ μα και όχι μόνο – αναβάλλεται. Ωστόσο, η επετειακή διοργάνωση με την οποία θα γιορτάζαμε τα 20 χρόνια του Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival, τα 20 χρόνια του μακροβιότερου μουσικού θεσμού της Αθήνας με ελεύθερη είσοδο, θα πραγματοποιηθεί με μία μικρή καθυστέρηση, του χρόνου, και συγκεκριμένα από τις 24 έως τις 30 Μαΐου 2021.

Ο καλλιτεχνικός διευθυντής, η καλλιτεχνική επιτροπή και ολόκληρη η ομάδα του ATJF ευχαριστούμε όλους τους συνεργάτες, τις πρεσβείες, τους μουσικούς και τους φίλους του φεστιβάλ για την κατανόηση, την εμπιστοσύνη και την αγάπη που μας έχουν δείξει και συνεχίζουν να μας δείχνουν όλα αυτά τα χρόνια. Γι’ αυτό και υποσχόμαστε ότι όλα όσα μας ενέπνευσαν κατά τη διάρκεια της χρονιάς, οι μουσικές, οι νέες ιδέες, η διάθεσή μας να εξελίσσουμε το φεστιβάλ και να παρουσιάζουμε κάθε χρόνο την καλύτερή του εκδοχή, θα συνεχίζουν να μας εμπνέουν. Υποσχόμαστε ότι θα συνεχίζουμε να δουλεύουμε για το Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival με την ίδια –αν όχι περισσότερη – όρεξη για να προετοιμάσουμε ακόμα καλύτερα την επετειακή διοργάνωση για τα 20 χρόνια που όλες και όλοι μας περιμέναμε με τόσο ενθουσιασμό!

Κι ένα μικρό hint: σύντομα θα ανακοινωθούν πολύ ενδιαφέροντα jazzy news που σίγουρα θα σας ενθουσιάσουν! 

Μέχρι τότε, η τζαζ θα συνεχίζει να μας ενώνει κι από μακριά! Τα λέμε πολύ σύντομα όταν η Τεχνόπολη θα είναι πάλι γεμάτη κόσμο και όμορφες μουσικές… #JazzBeThere!

During these unprecedented times that we are all experiencing in our country, in Europe and around the world, and given the uncertainty of the situation’s development, the administration of Technopolis City of Athens and the Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival team, with a sense of responsibility for the visitors’ from Greece and abroad, the partners’ the artists’ and the employees’ safety, have decided to cancel this year’s festival.

It is with great sadness that we announce you that our established annual late-spring appointment which signifies the commencement of the summer concert season for the city, the beloved music festival of Athenians of every age – and friends of jazz but not only –  is postponed. However, the anniversary edition with which we’d celebrate the 20 years of Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival, the 20 years of the longest-running musical institution of Athens with free entry, will be realized with a slight delay next year, and specifically from the 24th till the 30th of May, 2021.

The artistic director, the artistic committee and the whole ATJF team thank all the partners, the embassies, the musicians and the friends of the festival for their understanding, their trust and the love they have demonstrated continuously all these years. For this reason, we promise that everything that has inspired us throughout the year, the music, the new ideas, our drive to improve the festival and present its best edition every year will continue to inspire us. We promise that we will keep on working for Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival with the same – and even more – motivation so that we prepare an even better anniversary edition for the 20 years that we’ve all been waiting for!

Just a hint: very interesting jazzy news will be announced soon and you’ll be excited!

Till then, jazz will unite us even from afar! See you very soon when Technopolis will be again full of people and beautiful tunes… #JazzBeThere!
