Christos and Vasilis Duo having as a point of departure the compositions of Christos Anestopoulos, is creating a musical atmosphere with deep and dreamy sounds, full of surprises and climaxes.
Strong melodic lines that derive from jazz, classical, greek, eastern music tradition but also rock music, is one of the main characteristics of their music.
Their main goal is improvisation and as a result each performance is a special event. Their skills as soloists and improvisers create a new journey and a unique communication among them, as well as with the audience.
The collaboration of Christos and Vasilis has began years ago, since the albums “Swinging over the surfaces“ and “Wish you could stay…“.
The idea of a duo with pure acoustic sound, based on classical/12 string guitar and double bass is not new to them.
It derived from the rehearsals and the process of producing the new album of Christos named “DEJA VU“ that will be released in 2018.
